Hello.

The next practice will be tomorrow (30/10), fall-in at o300 PM, not 0400 PM!
Okay, I guess that I don't have to come here every time just to tell you guys when is the next practice as all of you should have the holiday schedule that Mrs Ong has distributed to us.

I'm here to tell you guys to remember to bring your straws for tomorrow's practice, or rather, every practice as we'll need it for our warm-up for air focusing. For those who have not paid for the Hong Kong trip, please do so by either today or tomorrow by 1100 AM in the General Office.

We'll also need your blood group, so please go and check and tell us tomorrow. If you do not know what is your blood group, go to the polyclinic to have a blood test and give us your blood type by next Tuesday.


Well, we know that our exams are long over and it is the holidays now but we cannot take the practices we are having lightly as we are only left with around 4 to 5 months to SYF 2009. We do not have much time left so it's time to commit yourself to the SYF and the band.

The SYF date will be 30 March to 4 April and 6 April to 9 April. The venue will be at Singapore Conference Hall(the same venue we had in SYF 2007).

The Seniors(Sec3s) might not be able to attend practices next year after the Chinese New Year as we will be having our exams in March and we might not be able to go for SYF 2009 too(not confirmed). So please start practicing hard on your instruments and let's all work hard to get a Gold medal on next year's SYF!

Alright, listen up kids! (haha)

The next band practice will be on the coming Tuesday(28/10), practice will be from 0400PM - 0700PM. Fall-in at 0400PM in the hall, not outside the music room.

Please bring along a straw that Mr Wong had asked us to bring(Yakult straws recommended) and the amount of money that you are suppose to pay for the Hong Kong trip. Those that have a huge amount to pay and are in cash, please be careful with your money! Don't lose it.

Okay, that's all I have to say, I think. So long! :D

I hope that it's alright because I spent 3 whole hours doing this blog skin. I'll change it to the old one if you guys don't like this skin and make a new one again.

Hey band.

Finally, I'm going to reveal the designs of the band hoodie.
Sorry for the delays. We were not ready yet. But now, we are! :D


JENG JENG JENG!!

This is for the front of the hoodie.






This design will be printed on the top left of the hoodie.


The part where I wrote "section" is where your section's name will be.
For example, your section is Clarinet.
Then, the word "Clarinet" will be printed on your hoodie.

For the colours, most likely the prints, as in the designs, will be in only one colour.
I'll check with the printer again.
Cause if you want more colours, the costlier the hoodie will be.
Maybe not more than three colours.
Again, I'll check with the printer and inform you all by next practice.

For the back of the hoodie, there are three designs for you to choose.
Voting will be done next practice, which is Thursday.

Design 1

I've shown this design to the printer and he said that because this design has fine drawings (those light small notes) probably those small notes may not be able to be seen when printed.

Design 2



Personally, I prefer this one.
Cause it's simple, cute and funny.
Hahas. :D
I think it will look great if this design is repeated on the whole hoodie.
As in, the whole hoodie is covered with this monkey.
Hahaha.
I'll check with the printer whether this is possible. (:

Design 3







I think this design will only look nice if it's in colour.
Cause, our hoodie must not have more than three colours.
So, this design will not look nice if we were to use only three colours.

Please choose wisely.
Look at the designs carefully and decide by next practice.
(I prefer the monkey!)

Only those going Hong Kong will need to buy the hoodie.
But you can still buy the hoodie even though you're not going HK if you want.

Oh ya!

The hoodie will be in white.
No dark colours cause we'll look dull.
For the designs' colour, you choose.
The last time I checked, the hoodie looks like this.



There will be a zip on the front.
This is just an example.
The material is the normal type of hoodies' material.
Cotton, I think.
I'll try to find a better quality.

Most probably I'll bring in samples the next practice and take your sizes.
So please be present for practice on Thursday!
And those who have not paid the $30 please pay me next practice.
If you have any problems paying, see me.
I've went to a lot of shops and the cheapest I can get is $30.
I'll see if I can lower the price.

Sorry for not updating our band blog frequently, as you can see, I was busy studying(if anybody believes)... Okay, back to the main point.

Band will resume on the 14th October which is the coming Tuesday :)
Please come for band practices as we are only left with 42 days to our Hongkong trip.

Are you guys excited?! I am very excited because I can take the aeroplane! Ha ha, okay. I'm being kind of lame.

Anyway, happy belated birthday to Regina and Lejun! Their birthday falls on 07 October.

PS: I'll try to update this blog more frequently and yes! I will be making a new blog skin, soon!
